What the integration actually solves

Employee attendance kiosk

Employees clock in and out at the kiosk using a chip card, PIN, or fingerprint. Every arrival and departure is instantly recorded in the Modulario People module — the manager sees team presence in real time.

Employee self-service HR portal

Employees use the kiosk to view their leave balance, submit a time-off request, download their payslip, or read internal announcements. The approval workflow runs in Modulario and the employee receives a response by email.

Customer information kiosk and self-checkout

In a store or reception area, customers find products in the catalogue, check warehouse availability, and pay by card or QR code at the self-checkout station. The transaction is posted in Modulario POS.

    Select kiosk hardware (21–32" touchscreen, mini PC, optional card reader/biometrics).

    Install the Modulario Kiosk app for Windows or Android on the device.

    In Modulario, go to Settings → Integrations → Kiosks and register the device with a license key.

    Configure the kiosk interface: attendance, HR portal, information display, or POS.

    Assign authorized users and set the authentication method (chip card, PIN, biometrics).

Frequently asked questions

What operating systems does the kiosk support?

Windows 10/11 (kiosk mode), Android 10+. For Linux, a web version is available via Chromium in kiosk mode. All variants are managed centrally from Modulario.

Can the kiosk operate without an internet connection?

The kiosk works in offline mode for core functions (attendance, information display). Data synchronizes with Modulario when connectivity is restored.

How are employee personal data protected on a shared kiosk?

Each employee logs in individually, and the session automatically ends after a configurable inactivity timeout. Access to HR data is restricted to the employee's own account.
