- 1 Install the biometric device at the entrance (manufacturers: ZKTeco, Suprema, Hikvision, Virdi, Dahua).
- 2 In Modulario, go to Settings → Integrations → Attendance and Access Control → Add Device.
- 3 Select the communication protocol (ZKTeco SDK, OSDP, Wiegand, HTTP API) and enter the device IP address.
- 4 Register employee biometric templates either directly on the device or remotely from Modulario.
- 5 Configure work schedules and access permissions for individual zones and employee groups.

What biometric technologies are supported?
Fingerprint (capacitive and optical sensors), facial recognition (2D and 3D IR), palm recognition, RFID cards as a fallback. Manufacturers: ZKTeco, Suprema, Hikvision, Virdi, HID Global.
How is employee biometric data protected?
Biometric templates are stored locally on the device in encrypted form (AES-256). Modulario does not send biometric data to the cloud — it works only with the employee identifier and time record.
What if an employee's card is lost and biometrics are unavailable?
Modulario supports fallback methods: PIN code, chip card, or remote admin approval. Every exception is logged and reportable.
