About the client

ARTOS a.s. is a Slovak company active in engineering production and the operation of telecommunications and network infrastructures. It combines classic make-to-order manufacturing with modern IT and network service operations (network management, monitoring, call billing), which requires exceptionally broad process coverage — from production planning, warehouse, costing, and invoicing through payroll and HR to VAT returns and the VAT control statement.

The challenge

ARTOS a.s. worked with several disconnected systems. Key challenges:

• Production planning and field-service dispatching managed in different tools — without ties to dispatch and invoicing
• An extensive catalog of price-list items and price history without central records
• Accounting agendas (subledger, cash desk, VAT control statement, VAT return, bank reconciliation) in a separate accounting package without a direct link to the ERP
• Network and telecom services (IP addresses, DHCP Option 82, call records, call billing) without integration into the company system
• Payroll and HR (attendance, vacations, vehicle log) in a separate program

The solution

Modulario delivered a comprehensive ERP built on interconnected data structures that covers all processes of the SK entity:

• Production and dispatching — production plan, master cards, field-service line items, dispatcher work reports, and activity types
• Commercial cycle — inquiries, price quotations (with payment terms, VAT rate, delivery method), confirmed sales orders, dispatch orders, issued invoices, delivery notes, credit notes, and advance invoices
• Warehouse and logistics — stock at locations, transfer notes, serial numbers, stock movements, reservations, multiple warehouses and branches with precise traceability
• SK accounting — complete accounting on the Slovak chart of accounts including subledger, cash documents, exchange rate differences, VAT control statement, VAT return, bank reconciliation, and control statement
• Payroll and HR — payroll calculator, attendance with records and reports, project stages, tasks, vacations, vehicle log
• Network and telecom operations — network management, IP addresses, DHCP Option 82, network monitoring, call records, call billing, on-call calendar, mass communication
• Assets — asset class, card, movement, and depreciation journal records

Multicompany architecture and external integrations

ARTOS a.s. operates within a group of companies, so Modulario implements a multicompany architecture — a user with the appropriate permissions sees a client as one whole across all companies in the group. Reports allow aggregation across the entire group as well as for individual companies.

• Tatrabanka Premium API (FIO as an alternative) — automatic matching of invoice payments and recording of bank movements
• Finstat — multicompany records of economic events for customers
• Asterisk VoIP exchange — call records of customers for billing telecommunication services
• Internal phone exchange — call records of employees for billing of call expenses
• O2 SMS gateway (smstools.sk) and Orange SMS gateway (2N device controlled via Python) — mass communication with customers
• DHCP Option 82 — automatic configuration of dhcp.conf via a Linux daemon for assigning IP addresses by customer connection
• Linux servers — outputs in JSON format, ping monitoring of network elements
• Raspberry Pi USB — integration with a small POS register for branches
• ARTOS network — IP tunnel and connection through SIX
• Command-line interface of network hardware — automated configuration and management of network devices
• GDPR filter — all client overviews are hidden by default, displaying data is conditioned on search criteria, every search is logged in the event log, and data is stored exclusively in the EU
