Modulario vs. Oracle NetSuite: EU cloud ERP versus the global veteran

Oracle NetSuite is an established cloud ERP with 30,000+ customers globally. For EU SMBs, however, it brings four problems: US vendor, USD pricing, no local EU partner, and no EU-specific functionality out of the box. Modulario is an EU cloud ERP with EU data sovereignty and local support.

Frequently asked questions

NetSuite has been established for 25 years — is there a risk in switching to a newer EU product?

Modulario has been in production since 2017 (AMCEF s.r.o. is a Deloitte TechFast 500 EMEA 2023 winner). We have 60+ active clients including public sector, manufacturing, and retail. The risk is comparably lower than with NetSuite — you have an EU vendor with a local phone number rather than a US support ticket.

What is the cost of Modulario vs. NetSuite for 50 users?

NetSuite: minimum $99/user/month × 50 = $4,950/month + base licence $999 = $5,949/month ≈ 68,000 €/year. Plus partner implementation 50,000–150,000 € one-off. Modulario: 30 €× 50 × 12 = 18,000 €/year. Implementation 5,000–15,000 €. **3-year TCO: NetSuite 250,000 €+, Modulario 70,000 €.**

Will we lose NetSuite-specific modules (revenue recognition, supply chain)?

Modulario has core modules for SMBs (invoicing, warehouse, manufacturing, CRM, HR). For specialist enterprise needs (ASC 606 revenue recognition, multi-warehouse demand planning) NetSuite remains stronger. However, for 80% of EU SMBs these modules are not required.

How does Modulario handle US accounting (GAAP) if we have a US subsidiary?

Modulario is primarily an EU accounting engine (compliant with EU accounting directives). For US GAAP we offer integration with 3rd-party tools (QuickBooks, Xero) via REST API. If US accounting is central to your operation, NetSuite remains the better choice.

NetSuite SuiteScript is very powerful — does Modulario have something comparable?

Modulario has a no-code workflow builder that covers 80% of cases without any coding. For custom logic we offer JavaScript scripting via REST API webhooks (architecturally very similar to SuiteScript). For extreme customisation, Modulario offers source-code access to partners — something NetSuite has never permitted with SuiteScript.

What is the migration story from NetSuite to Modulario?

Standard project: 6–10 weeks. Export master data (Items, Customers, Vendors) via SuiteAnalytics Connect, transformation via our migration toolkit, import into Modulario. Historical transactions typically remain in NetSuite (read-only) for 1 year for audit purposes; all new transactions go into Modulario from go-live. ROI is typically achieved within 18 months through licence cost savings.
