What the integration actually solves
Datev CSV (DATEVpro format) export
Modulario generates a standard DATEVpro CSV export (Buchungsstapel) with SKR03/SKR04 accounts. The Steuerberater imports it without changes.
Datev Unternehmen online connection
For clients on Datev Unternehmen online, we send documents (invoices and cost documents with attachments) directly to the cloud DMS.
XRechnung and ZUGFeRD e-invoices
Modulario issues mandatory B2B electronic invoices in XRechnung (XML) or ZUGFeRD (PDF/A-3 with XML) format per German law.
USt-Voranmeldung inputs
For monthly/quarterly VAT returns we prepare inputs with correct §13b breakdown, reverse-charge handling, and intra-community supplies.
Connect in minutes
- 1 In Modulario, go to Settings → Integrations → Datev and pick the variant (CSV export / Datev Unternehmen online / XRechnung).
- 2 Enter the Beraternummer (advisor number) and Mandantennummer (client number) from your Steuerberater.
- 3 Choose the accounting framework (SKR03 or SKR04) and map document types to accounts.
- 4 For Datev Unternehmen online, authorize SmartLogin via OAuth.
- 5 Run a test export with a single invoice and hand it to the accountant for review.
- 6 Configure the automatic monthly export at the close date.
Frequently asked questions
Is Datev only relevant for Germany?
Datev is used mainly in Germany, Austria, and partly Switzerland. For CEE companies without DACH activity we recommend Pohoda, Money S3, or FlexiBee.
Do you support the Datev XML format (EDV-Format) too?
Yes — besides CSV DATEVpro we generate XML format for import into Datev Kanzlei-Rechnungswesen and Datev Mittelstand.
What about ZUGFeRD 2.3 and B2B e-invoicing required from 2025?
Modulario meets the German B2B e-invoicing requirements effective 1 Jan 2025. We generate ZUGFeRD 2.3 in the EN16931 profile and XRechnung 3.0.
Do you also transfer the original invoice (PDF) for GoBD archiving?
Yes — GoBD-compliant storage of invoice originals is part of the Files module. We transfer them to the Datev DMS or a local archive with immutability.
